Just realized that I hadn't posted in ages. I'm lost right now, just lost. There is just so much going on around me ... and I feel lost in the middle of someplace I shouldn't be. Or at least it feels that way. And my friends are all leaving or left.
Have dug my way back to the easel, cleaned the brushes, changed the palette and adjusted the lighting. What's wrong with me? Dunno. So tonight I've cleaned off the desk and pulled out my sketchbooks. Even found two unfinished drawings that really need completing. And there is still the painting on the easel that needs me.

From the Archives
Since I've oft and loaned away my camera, I can't post any new pics of what I'm working on, so I've decided instead to share a photo of Georgie and I on a summers day. Obviously, it's not this year - though no complaints as the snow is practically melted away now. Won't be long! (she's says with fingers crossed behind her back).

Sunshine State of Mind
Annoyingly enough, some dummy forgot to pack the camera battery and is now only on 1 bar. So I won't be able to photograph my drawings on this trip, unless I can find a charger somewhere. Ooops. Sigh. Otherwise I am truly enjoying the sunshine.
And since I just tried uploading a pic of the house and the internet is not fast enough to accomplish this ... some things will just have to wait until I see snow again.

Spectacular Sky
Have you been outside after 10pm tonight? It's simply spectacular out there! The clouds are moving incredibly fast, zooming across the midnight blue sky, revealing minute sparkles of stars in a wink and then they're gone. Amazing. Everyone needs to go out. Just go. I love it.
The half moon has that glow around it, creating a hole in the space with more depth than the surface of the whole. Sigh.

Finally spring & I'm inside painting
It's the first beautiful day of spring: light warm breeze, fabulous sunshine and birds chirping madly. I know this as I watch it through the open window, much to the dismay of my dog, and enjoy a day of painting solitude. Ah, it's marvelous. I'm aware that others will think me mad for 'wasting' such a wonderful day, but the light is perfect and there are no bugs indoors.
Of course, I will venture out soonish. Right after I finish my discussions with yellow and red.
